Examinations and Dispensing at Angus Mcphie Optometrists are carried out using the latest in Optical Technology.

During the Screening check at the start of your examination, we initially use a machine to take base measurements of the shape of your eye and also measures the pressures of your eyes, you then do a comprehensive Visual Fields test using the latest Optopol technology. Then if you wish, Optical Coherence Tomography.

The results from these checks can provide early detection of many conditions including Glaucoma.

Following the screening a comprehensive eye examination is performed by one of our Optometrists using the latest technology, which now includes an Essilor Vision R800 which revolutionises the accuracy of the testing and allows us to provide AVA lenses.
